Time and place: START
The Viking Line Night Run Estonia "Full of Power" takes place on 26th September 2020, in the town of Rakvere.
The starts are at 8:00 p.m. (21 km), 8:10 p.m. (10 km, finish time under 60 min) and 8:15 p.m. (10 km, finish time 60-75 min)), 8.20 p.m. (10 km, finish time over 75 min)) and 8.20 p.m. (5 km)
NOTICE: Start and finish are held in the City stadium (next to event centre).
The Event Centre is located in Rakvere Sports Centre; address Kastani 12.
Cappy Kids’ races start at 5:30 p.m. near Event Centre at City stadium.
ATTENTION!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemia and postponing of the event, wearing a nightrun T-shirt is NOT mandatory this year.
In 2020, the Nordic Walkers and partakers with baby carriages are not allowed to participate. This amendment has been introduced in view of the safety of the participants. We apologise for the inconvenience.
Distances, timing and results
Distances:
SPORTLAND 5 km no timing: run and walk. Start at 8:20 p.m.
POWERADE 10 km timed: run and walk. Start at 8:10 p.m.(finish time under 60 min), 8.15 p.m. (finish time 60-75 min) and 8.20 p.m. (finish time over 75 min)
NIKE 21,1 km run and walk. Start at 8:00 p.m.
Cappy Run (for children and youth) distances are age-specific. Children participating in Cappy Runs can be from less than a year up to 13 years of age (children can participate hand in hand with their parents). The distances vary from 200-400 m. Cappy Runs start in City stadium (near event Centre).
Timing and Results:
At the 5 km distance there is no timing. At the 10 km and 21, 1 km distances all the participants will have electronic timing (chip timing – bib number will be issued).
Timing will be carried out by the contractual partner of the Viking Line Night Run Estonia – Nelson Timing.
The Final finish protocol is approved and appears on the Night Run website: www.nightrunestonia.com not later than 7 days after the run. The link to the interval results is added to the Night Run website and official Facebook page as soon as possible.
At timed distances the electronic chip is attached onto the back of the bib number and there is no need to return it after the competition.
The timing chip must not be removed from behind the number, and folding the number is strictly prohibited. Otherwise, the results will not get fixed.
The number together with the timing chip must be fitted on the chest and it should be visible throughout the competition.
Timing-related proposals and comments will be accepted only until the final certification of the results and until 28.09.2020 8 p.m.
The protests can only be presented in writing to the information desk at the Event Centre until 26.09.20, 23.00 p.m. The protest fee is 20 €. The protest processing time is up to 7 calendar days. The fee will be repaid only in case of a positive outcome/acceptance of the protest.
Cappy kid Runs
Cappy Run (for children and youth) distances are age-specific.
Children participating in Cappy Runs can be from less than a year up to 13 years of age (children can participate hand in hand with their parents). The distances vary from 200-400 m. Cappy Runs start in City stadium (near event Centre) at 5:30 p.m.

Online registration takes place until 23th of september 2020 on the Viking Line Night Run Estonia website: www.nightrunestonia.com.
There are limited number of starting places at the Night Run:
SPORTLAND 5 km not timed – 500 places
POWERADE 10 km timed – 3000 places
NIKE 21,1 km timed - 1000 places
Cappy Runs – 1200 places
The online registration for the distances will end on 23th September 2020 at midnight or after the participation places have been filled.
On 26th September 2020 from noon to 7:30 p.m. (at Cappy Runs to 5:00 p.m.) it is possible to register (in case of available starting places) for 5 km distance, 10 km track and 21,1 km distance - at the Event Centre, Rakvere Sports Centre.

On Group Registration (10 participants or more) the participation fee can be paid on the basis of an invoice. Names of the participants will be entered in the start protocol no later than 10 days after the payment of the invoice issued by the organisers. The registrations will be deleted if the bill is not paid within 5 days of the issue of the invoice. We ask that groups of up to nine people register themselves to the Viking Line Night Run Estonia via the individual registration form, which allows you to add an unlimited number of companions.
Name and Track Re-Registration are possible until 30.08.2020.
The re-registration fee is 10 €, plus the possible difference between the participation fees. For the re-registration transfer the re-registration fee to organiser’s, MTÜ Rakvere Maraton (NGO Rakvere Marathon), account (EE911010220117720014), please include: the pre-registered participant and the new participants, with a birth date (e.g. Instead of Jana Õunapuu Juhan Kukk – 12.08.1983 – is participating). In case of a track change, indicate the name of the participant and the track change (e.g. Jana Õunapuu changes the 5 km track – 10 km). In case of a newparticipant be sure to add the new participant's shirt size. Please notify the organiser of the re-registration fees’ transfer to the organiser’s account: info@eestimaraton.ee, which ensures a faster name or track change in the start protocol.
ATTENTION:
All participation fees include 20% VAT.
There is an online registration fee 0,5 € and an environment fee 0,5 € when registering online.
Group discount of 10% applies to groups of 10 participants and more (this calculation does not include Cappy Run participants) starting from the second registration round, i.e. from 01.05.2020 till 1.09.20. The discount applies to groups of registrations, which reach the organizers by 22.07.2020 the latest!
One discount per one registration (applies to campaigns as well).
NB! If the Night Run is cancelled due to reasons not depending on the organizer and in case of the participant resigning (regardless of cause) the participation fee is not refundable. Pre-purchased T-shirts, mugs and other promotional items, also Viking Line or other gift cards are issued only on the site at the Event Centre until 26th September, 10:00 p.m. There will be no later issuing or posting – the participant will lose the right to the items after 26h September 2020 after 10:00 p.m. The items will go to charity or disposal.
Issuing of the starting materials and start groups
Start materials will be issued according to an identification document.
Issuing of start materials (including a bib number with a timing chip, etc.) takes place on 26th September 2020 from noon to 7:30 p.m. at the Event Centre in Rakvere Sports Centre (Kastani 12).
IMPORTANT: The organiser will end issuing the start materials on 26th September 2020 at 7:30 p.m!
The participants will be asked to be at the starting corridor at least 15 minutes before the start of their start group.

General management and provision of tracks
The main tourist attractions in Rakvere are represented on the tracks of Viking Line Night Run Estonia 2020.
The participants on the 10 km distance will run a 10 km long lap.
The participants on the 21, 1 km distance will run two laps.
The 10 and 21,1 km tracks of Viking Line Night Run Estonia are fully registered according to IAAF standards (autumn 2018), and complies with international standards. The 5 km lap is measured using the GPS systems and is approx, 4,8 km long.
The tracks are lighted with street lights.
The tracks are secured by volunteers and security staff.
The tracks have signs and the kilometre markings are at every kilometre (be sure to check out the selected track at www.nightrunestonia.com page). The Km markings are located on the right hand side of the participant. For 5 km participants the signs are on yellow background, for 10 km participant the signs are on blue background and the half marathon signs are on red background.
At the refreshment stands the Neptunas water is in plastic cups (white or transparent plastic) and the Powerade sports drink in red cardboard cups.
The tracks are provided with refreshment stands:
5 km - 1 refreshment stand (Neptunas water and Powerade sports drink)
10 km – 2 refreshment stands (Neptunas water and Powerade sports drink)
21,1 km - 5 refreshment stands (Neptunas water and Powerade sports drink)
Participant’s responsibility and age restrictions
The participant is responsible for their own health when going to the track.
The participant, while going to the track, confirms to have sufficient physical ability to complete the track and in case of a health problem, seeks assistance from the volunteers or medical staff immediately (Event Centre and stadium/finish area).
Youngsters under 16 years of age can participate in the half marathon only with the written permission from their parent or guardian.
KEEP RIGHT! In case you want to take it easy, keep to the right side of the track. This way the faster runners can easily pass you on the left side of the track.
ATTENTION! Please choose the right pace for passing the Night Run. That ensures a good feeling on the track and at the finish and helps to prevent health problems.
NO PETS ALLOWED!
Acknowledgement, awards, e-diploma, medal and T-shirt
E-diploma and Photos:
A downloadable e-diploma for a participant together with the completion of the final finish protocol is available no later than 7 days after the run.
The participants can view and download photos of the event starting from a few days after the run. The photos are located in the Snap.ee environment and are available as a link at the page www.nightrunestonia.com . The official photos of the Night Run are free for participants.
Viking Line Gift Card:
Everyone who participates on the main tracks will receive a gift card from Viking Line – a return trip to Helsinki for two. The departure and return do not have to be on the same day. The passenger’s fee is 6 € one way. Kids up to 11 years will travel with you for free.
Commemorative JUBILEE Medal:
Everyone who finishes 10 km and 21, 1 km will receive Viking Line Night Run Estonia jubilee medal.
Shirts:
The registration fee for the 5 km, 10 km and 21,1 km includes a Night Run Nike T-shirt from breathable material (when registering, choose a suitable size). The T-shirts will be waiting for you at the Event Centre on the 26th September 2020.
The size you chose when registering cannot be changed when you receive the T-shirt on the 26th September 2020.
Shirts will be issued only from 26th September 2020 noon till 10:00 p.m. The shirts will not be sent by post. The participants will lose the right to collect the shirt after 10:00 p.m. on 26th September 2020.
Recognition of Top Athletes:
3 best men and women in 21.1 km are honoured with trophies and 6 best men and women with awards from sponsors.
3 best men and women in 10 km are honoured with trophies and awards from sponsors.
Award ceremony will take place in Rakvere City stadium (finish area) on 26th September 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Come along and get a powerful experience!
Washing, luggage storage and dressing
Free washing facilities will also be available after the run (just show the bib number or shirt of the Night Run) in Rakvere Sports Centre (Kastani 12) – 150 m from the finish. Sports Centre is open until 23:30 p.m.
Free luggage storage is open at the Event Centre in the Sorts Centre (Kastani 12) from 6 p.m. until the end of the event at 23:00 a.m. All the stored packages and clothing items, which the participants have not retrieved by the 26th September 2020 at 23:30 p.m., will be disposed of by the organizer.
The organizer is not responsible for the items left in the luggage storage. The use of the luggage storage is on the participant’s responsibility.
Changing rooms for men and women are guaranteed at the Event Centre.
Toilets are situated near the start and finish area and in the Event Centre.
Nike Dri-FIT T-shirt
NB! Due to the COVID-19 pandemia and postponing of the event, wearing a nightrun T-shirt is NOT mandatory this year.

Parking and traffic arrangement
Suggested parking is in Vallikraavi, Vabriku, Näituse and Jaama streets, which provides the best exit from town after the run has finished (to the direction of Tallinn, Narva, Tartu or Pärnu).
Parking in some other parts or in the centre area of the town means traffic restrictions, which could mean difficulties/delays when trying to exit the town later on.
It is forbidden to start your engines and cruise with your car while runners are still on the streets near you.
The organisers strongly request to avoid parking in Lai and Posti street, in Pikk Street, Laada Street, and Kastani Avenue (closed for traffic 26.09.20 from 8.00-23.00).
ATTENTION:
All of Viking Line Night Run Estonia tracks are closed to general traffic on 26th September 2020 from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Please check the routes on the main webpage.

Organiser’s Rights:
The organiser has the right to make changes to the manual, if necessary.
The organizer has the right to forbid people to be in the competition area and entry into the starting point, if these people disturb the participants.
The organiser has the right to forbid participants enter the starting point if they are not wearing the official Night Run shirt and bib number.
The organiser has the right to disqualify all those participants in the finish protocol who do not follow the event manual and rules.
The organiser has the right to use all the photos and video footage, taken by the organiser during the event, for marketing purposes.
The organiser is not responsible if the event does not take place due to Force Majeure (force of nature). If the event is cancelled due to reasons not depending on the organiser the participation fee is not refundable.
The organiser is not responsibility for the work of the company who offers the timing service.
The organiser will accept only the protests in writing and following official procedure presented to Viking Line Night Run Estonia secretariat (information desk) until 26.09.20, 23.00 p.m. The protest fee is 20 €. The protest processing time is up to 7 calendar days. The fee will be repaid only in case of a positive outcome/acceptance of the protest.
If the rules that change independently of the organizer do not allow the event to be organized in the desired way, the event will take place as a virtual run, at a freely chosen time and place within a given period of time (2 weeks before the given date);
In the event of a virtual run, the participant will receive a medal, a gift bag from supporters, Viking Line gift cards and a purchased shirt;
In case of the virtual run, the extradition of the "Viking Line Night Run Estonia - Rakvere" medals, shirts, gift cards and gift bags from supporters will be given out in Tallinn, Ülemiste Center on 17-18.10.20. NB! In case of a virtual run, there will be no extradition in Rakvere;
When the virtual run takes place, all existing participants are automatically transferred to the start protocol of the virtual run and re-registration is not necessary.
If the changed dates or the updated instructions are not suitable, it is possible to transfer your participation to the next year Night Run Estonia, free of charge. The transfer of participation to 2021 is possible on the basis of a digitally signed application. Applications will be accepted until 30.06.20 at the e-mail address: info@eestimaraton.ee. Subsequent applications and other claims will not be considered. The application can be downloaded from nightrunestonia.com (from 8.06.20).
Feedback and Information Requests after the Event:
Calls concerning the run from participants and partners will be answered during workdays at least until 10.10.2020. The organizers ask for understanding, as based on the number of participants and enthusiasts there may be a lot of questions and the answers might be delayed for up to several days.

The price of a bus ticket is 15 euros and it’s valid either roundtrip or one way trip.
The deposit will be paid in advance, which must be received within 2 days of the booking shown on the account.
